LEWISTON – Jake Lariviere of Minot is the new program coordinator of The Program For Grieving Children & Teens.

Lariviere was moved to become involved in The Program for Grieving Children & Teens several years ago through his own family loss and went on to complete training to become a volunteer facilitator for the program. This summer, Lariviere will participate in an intensive training program at the Dougy Center in Portland, Ore., which developed the model for this local grief support program. Lariviere is preparing for the eight-week fall session of the program, which begins Sept. 14.

The Program for Grieving Children & Teens is sponsored by St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, offering support to those who have lost loved ones to death.
