PHILLIPS – A teenager was injured Monday after the vehicle she was riding in struck a van.
Amanda Crandall, 17, of Strong was heading east up over Bridge Hill when the Chevy Lumina she was driving collided with a Ford Windstar operated by Archie Searles, 45, of Phillips at the intersection on Route 149, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Heidi Gould said.
Crandall’s passenger, Kera Ellis, 17, received “minor injuries,” Gould said.
The Phillips Fire Department and first responders, and AMPS Ambulance responded to the scene.
Gould estimated that Searles’ vehicle received $8,000 damage and Crandall’s vehicle $4,000 in damage.
The accident remains under investigation, Gould said.
