RANGELEY – Bishop Chilton R. Knudsen will dedicate the new wing at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 4 p.m. Sunday Aug. 1. All interested community members are invited. There will be a reception and light buffet after the dedication.

The new addition, constructed by A-One Builders of Rangeley, gives the church expanded office and classroom space as well as handicapped-accessible bathrooms and a lift connecting the two floors.

The new wing will be dedicated to the Seymore sisters, who left a donation to the church for the improvement of the Sunday school facilities.

Final sale

RANGELEY – The Episcopal Church Women of the Good Shepherd Church will hold the final rummage sale of the summer from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, in the undercroft.

Library meeting

LIVERMORE – The Livermore Public Library will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the library, 22 Church St. The public is invited.

Benefit concert

LIVERMORE – Mitch Thomas and Friends will present a benefit concert in the historic Norlands church at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14.

Singer, pianist, songwriter and storyteller Thomas, along with bassist Jeff Munson of Kent’s Hill and guitarists David Griswold of Auburn and David Caron of Sidney will present a mixture of gospel, bluegrass, folk and original music.

No reservations are necessary and a $20 donation is suggested. All proceeds will benefit improvements in the church at the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, built in 1828. For more information and directions, call 897-4366.
