JAY – Jay police responded Friday night to a report of four or five people fighting at 38 Main St. Police arrested two of them.
Those allegedly involved in fighting ran into the woods by the railroad tracks, Jay Police Chief Larry White Sr. said.
All were apprehended, he said, by Jay Sgt. Charles Keene and Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier and Livermore Falls police.
Some juveniles were found to be intoxicated after consuming alcohol, White said.
One was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington for an eye injury he received when he was running through the woods and a stick hit him, White said.
He was treated and released, he said.
A 17-year-old Jay boy was arrested on Franklin County warrants and taken to the Sheriff’s Office and then to a youth detention center in Charleston.
Richard Stickney, 21, of Rumford was arrested on a probation violation.
Keene also charged him with furnishing liquor to minors and assault.
