LEWISTON – A Farmers Market is held from 2 to 6 p.m. every Monday in Kennedy Park.

In addition to recipes for some of the vegetables available at the Farmers Market, the Lots to Gardens table will have additional information, demonstrations and/or events planned as follows:

Monday, Aug. 2, Lead Awareness: Find out about the importance of testing soil before growing food in it. Someone will be available to answer questions and explain resources that are available.

Monday, Aug. 9, Worm Demonstration: See the Lots to Gardens worm bin and learn how worms can turn food scraps into rich soil.

Monday, Aug. 16, youth event: The Lots to Gardens youth crew is planning an event in conjunction with the market. More details will be available soon.
