LEWISTON – Dorothy O. Smith, 70, of Lewiston, died on July 28, at Montello Manor, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., July 1, 1934, the daughter of William and Martha (Pokrand) Hostman.

She had been an office clerk most of her life and was a longtime employee of Stone & Webster. She was a longtime resident of Pennsylvania, and moved to Maine in 1998 to be with her son.

She was an avid gardener and outdoors person.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Smith, of North Monmouth; daughter, Linda Watson, of Pennsylvania; brother, William Hostman, of Pennsylvania; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a son, James Smith.
