LEWISTON – Westbrook defeated the Lewiston 12-under Frozen Ropes baseball team 4-2 despite the fine pitching of Alex Brochu who hurled 5 innings, allowing 6 hits and striking out 7. Mayke Hyde and Alex Parker led Lewiston’s 9-hit effort. Scott Ouellette slugged a long double for Lewiston’s second run, while Chris Jacques collected a hit and 2 walks. Alex Chicoine played fine defense at first base.

Lewiston’s next home game is Saturday at 11 a.m. against Scarborough.

LEWISTON – The team of Ray Pinette-Andy Gagne took top honors in the Wednesday night Lewiston Elks Pool League. Second was the duo of Dick Cyr-Bob Chabot, followed by Ray Gagnon-Ray Rancourt.
