LEWISTON – Roger W. Williams, 61, of Greene, died unexpectedly July 27, in Lewiston.

He was born on Feb. 14, 1943, in Petersburg, Va., the son of Jesse L. and Sarah G. (Dunnauant) Williams. He was born and raised in Virginia, where he owned and operated a trucking business before relocating to Maine in 1982.

He enjoyed spending time with the guys at Discount Auto, was an avid Civil War buff, a NASCAR fan, an accomplished artist and loved to work on cars and do earth work. One of his favorite hobbies was working in the yard, and one time moved an entire hill by hand. He loved being around young people, especially his daughters’ friends and college roommates.
