LEWISTON – Shirley G. Lashua, 74, of Danville, died July 28, after a long illness at Russell Park Manor.

She was born in Auburn July 21, 1930, the daughter of Charles E. and Lillian A. (Hicks) Gilbert. She was educated in the schools of Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School.

She married Ralph B. Lashua June 30, 1956. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to be surrounded by her family, her home was her life, she loved country western music, the Boston Red Sox and celebrating good times with her family.

She was a member of the Danville Grange, Pomona Grange, State Grange, Remember When Serior Citizens and St. Louis Serior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph; two sons, William Morrison Sr. and his wife, Nancy, of New Gloucester, Brian Lashua and his companion, Debbie Bennett, of Auburn; two daughters, Kathleen L’Italian, of Auburn, Brenda LaMarque and her husband, David, of Rumford; one brother, Alvin Gilbert and his wife, Jane, of South Paris; one sister, Beverly Lashua and her husband, Martin, of Danville; six grandchildren, William Morrison Jr., of Norton, Mass., Tracey L’Italian, of Auburn, Karen Dehetre, of New Gloucester, Lori L’Italian, of Auburn, Kevin Lashua, of Auburn and Katie Lashua, of Auburn; one great-grandson, John William Morrison, of Norton,,Mass.

She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Miai Dehetre.
