AUBURN – Roland A. Bergeron, 97, of 66 Pettingill St., Lewiston, formerly of 45 St. Croix St., Lewiston, died Thursday, July 29, at Schooner Estates.
Born in Lewiston, Sept. 13, 1906, he was the son of Ovide and Alphonsine Aube Bergeron. On Sept. 2, 1929, he married Blanche Blais Bergeron, who predeceased him on March 9, 1992. He was educated in local schools.
He was an excellent gardener and loved planting flowers. Prior to his retirement, he was a master carpenter and worked various construction companies. He devoted helping friends and family with his carpentry skills. He was a member of Holy Cross Church and the League of Sacred Heart.
Survivors include one daughter, Rita and husband, Louis Perreault, of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Michele and husband, James Jellison, of Londonderry, N.H., David and fianc, Kelly Desrosiers, of Greene; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife; a brother, Arthur Bergeron; one sister, Gracienne Letourneau; and many nieces and nephews.
