CANTON – A Greene man suffered minor injuries and later was charged with drunken driving when the ATV he was riding flipped over early Saturday on a public road, police said.

John Fortin, 20, was treated at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and released.

Fortin was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine State Police.

Another Greene man, Joshua Dunn, 25, also was charged with OUI, McCausland said.

Fortin was with a group of about four other ATV riders traveling on Meadowview Road shortly after midnight when he rounded a curve at a high rate of speed and his ATV overturned, McCausland said. No other injuries were reported, he said.
