LEWISTON – On Tuesday, Aug. 3, the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce presents Jason Davis of Davis Chiropractic in a talk entitled, “Using Chiropractic to Reduce Workplace Injuries”.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Statistics, in 2002, 1.4 million work-related injuries occurred in the United States with 43 percent of those injuries related to sprains and strains of the lower back. All of them resulted in time missed from the workplace.
Davis will explain how chiropractic care can be an integral part of an organization’s employee wellness plan. In addition to alleviating back and neck pain, the benefits of chiropractic care include improvement of headaches, carpal tunnel symptoms and reduction of overall stress. In addition to overall health and wellness, Davis will discuss how by restoring the nervous system through low-force adjustments, employees can maximize their potential at work.
The discussion will be held at The Chamber, 179 Lisbon St. from noon to 1:15 p.m. Following the discussion, Davis will be available to answer questions.
The talk is part of the Brown Bag Roundtable Discussion series that addresses a variety of business-related topics. No registration fee is required. Members are asked to bring their own lunch and to reserve their place by calling The Chamber at 783-2249.
