LEWISTON – Two projects will tie up downtown Lisbon Street traffic this week.

City crews will shut down one lane of Lisbon Street between Cedar and Pine streets Monday to clean and cement line a city water pipe. That work will keep at least one lane closed through Sept. 1. Crews will closing the road nightly and detouring traffic around the work.

City contractors are also scheduled to begin sidewalk work on Lisbon Street between Maple and Chestnut. That work involves putting down new sidewalks and gutters, new streetlights, and trees and landscaping. That work is also expected to shut down Lisbon Street lanes occasionally.
