LEWISTON – Lewiston’s 12-U Frozen Ropes baseball split a pair of games against Scarborough Saturday. Alex Brochu, Mayke Hyde, Eric Hall and Alex Parker had multiple hits in game one, a 9-6 loss. Joe Sullivan clubbed a run-scoring double. Chris Jacques and Parker pitched well in relief. Ben Griffith and P.A. Chadbourne were Scarborough’s repeat hitters. . . In game 2, Hyde fired a 4-hitter, striking out 8, in pitching Lewiston to an 8-2 victory. Parker led with 3 safeties. Frankie Welch and Scott Ouellette each added a pair. Hall rapped a 2-run single, while Ryan Lemelin contributed an RBI single.Lewiston will host Scarborough August 6 at 5 p.m.
