GREENE – Internationally acclaimed artist Doug Berky will entertain at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, and 2 and 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the Sawyer Memorial Auditorium.

The 2 p.m. Friday matinee is the annual Children’s Day program. Children should be accompanied by an adult.

Berky, a mask/movement artist, utilizes nearly two decades of experience to do performances that transcend age, race and culture.

Berky does portrayals of personalities and emotions familiar to all through mime, improvisation, clowning and suspense.

He studied at the Dell’Arte School of Mime and Comedy and has worked with professional touring companies. Berky spent a number of years as Artist in Residence at Furman University.

Sawyer admission is free and doors open one hour before the shows. The auditorium is air-conditioned. The Sawyer Memorial is located at 371 Sawyer Road. For more information, call 946-5311.
