EAST DIXFIELD – Bobby L. Baker, 45, of Jay, died Monday morning, Aug. 2, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on U.S. Route 2.

He was born in Farmington, March 23, 1959, a son of Lewis A. and Ruth (Knowles) Baker and received his education in Jay schools.

Mr. Baker had recently realized his dream of owning a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of the United Bikers of Maine and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. He was especially proud of his 1985 Chevy Scottsdale 4×4 show truck.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Baker, of Jay; a son, Ken and his wife, Kendra Baker, of Jay; a daughter, Crystal Dunham, of Jay; his mother, Ruth Meisner and her husband, Hubert, of Chesterville; a brother, Mike Baker and his wife, Carol, of New Vineyard; his grandson, who was his pride and joy, Hunter, of Jay; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Lewis; and a brother, Junior.
