RANGELEY – The first Thursday in August – this year Aug. 5 – is a big day in Rangeley. In addition to the annual Sidewalk Art Show, many nonprofit organizations will be offering everything from food sales to blood pressure screenings.
The Rangeley Public Library will join the event with its annual book and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the big tent on the lawn opposite the library. A variety of home-baked goods such as pies, cakes and cookies will be available.
There will also be some children’s books, both hardcover and paperback editions, for $1 and $3, as well as some puzzles.
There are also some books with higher price tags, collector’s items and better books.
The book and bake sale is one of several events that benefits the library’s operating budget. More information may be obtained from the library or from event coordinator Joann Meisel, 864-5875.
