PORTLAND (AP) – Curtis Granderson drove in four runs and Ryan Raburn, Max St. Pierre, Anderson Hernandez and Rich Gomez knocked in two apiece as the Erie SeaWolves rallied Tuesday to defeat the Portland Sea Dogs 14-3 Tuesday in the Eastern League.

Granderson went 5-for-6 with a homer, a double and three singles and scored the game-winning run in the SeaWolves’ seven-run eighth inning. Jeff Bailey and Stefan Bailie homered for Portland.

The Sea Dogs (51-58) led 3-2 through the seventh.

After back-to-back doubles by David Espinosa and Granderson tied it in the top of the eighth, Granderson scampered home with the go-ahead run on an error. Raburn’s two-run double and St. Pierre’s bases-loaded single were the big blows as the SeaWolves (57-49) added five more to make it 9-3 before the inning was over.

Back-to-back doubles by St. Pierre and Hernandez sparked Erie’s five-run ninth.

Erie starting pitcher Kyle Sleeth (2-3) earned the win over seven innings.

Portland reliever Ryan Larson (5-2) was charged with three runs in the seventh and took the loss.
