LEXINGTON, Mass. – Pauline Fortier Briggs, 54, of Lexington, Mass., died Friday, July 30, at her home, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born in Biddeford, Oct. 21, 1949, she was valedictorian of Marie Joseph Academy in Biddeford in 1967, a Cum Laude graduate of Rivier College in 1971, and received her master’s degree in medicinal chemistry from Purdue University in 1973.

On May 24, 1979, she married Ronald J. Briggs at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford. Mrs. Briggs was a biotechnology teacher at Minuteman Regional Technical High School in Lexington, Mass.

She will be greatly missed by all, but especially by her husband, Ronald; her four children, Veronica, Elizabeth, Andrew and Peter, all of Lexington, Mass.; her father, Dr. Andre P. Fortier and his wife, Imelda Paul, of Biddeford; her sisters and brothers, Claire Solman, of Lincoln, Mass., Helene Fortier, of Biddeford, Benoit Fortier, of Biddeford, Bernard Fortier, of Lewiston and Marie LaBrecque, of Biddeford; and many nieces and nephews.
