HARTFORD – The Hartford Heritage Society meeting was held at the J. and O. Irish Museum on June 12 with a good attendance. The same officers were elected for another year: president, Earl Turner; vice president, Gordon Abbott; secretary, Gloria Abbott; treasurer, Beulah Brown. Seven new members joined.
A large panoramic view of Lake Anassigunticook, taken from Pinewood Camp, was received. It will be framed and visitors can see it at the museum.
Earl Turner will be in contact with Kim McNeil about digging out the foundation at the museum.
The museum is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 15.
The Hartford Heritage Society cane was presented to Charles Jones as the oldest resident of Hartford. He will be 90 in September.
The next meeting will be announced.
