SOUTH PARIS – Margaret E. Lamontagne, 89, of Lincoln Street, Paris and formerly of the Saco area, died early Aug. 5, at the Market Square Nursing Home.

Born in Biddeford, Nov. 27, 1914, the daughter of Frank and Gertrude McCarthy Harmon, she attended Saco schools.

In 1933, she married Harvey “Babe” Lamontagne in Saco. She worked for local shoe factories and the Kittery Navel Shipyard and retired to Florida.

She has recently resided with her son, Harvey and daughter-in-law, Cathy in Boca Raton, Fla., and Paris Hill.

Mrs. Lamontagne is survived by one son, Harvey Lamontagne, of Paris Hill; two sisters, Cecelia Lauzon and Ella Hines, both of Biddeford; three grandchildren, Linda Kennedy, of Saco, Susan Black, of Saco and Bill Lamontagne, of South Paris; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey W. Lamontagne; and three sisters, Flora, Gertrude and Betty.
