Another Maine small business has closed its door. Who or where doesn’t matter. “Why” is the important question. Out-of-control liability insurance and workers’ compensation costs are killing this state’s small businesses.

It’s tragic when someone works seven days a week, 14 hours a day and cannot earn enough to make staying in business worthwhile.

Maine voters need to wake up and tell Augusta we need change or we will all end up working at the big box stores or serving burgers and fries to tourists.
