LIVERMORE FALLS – A full military funeral service was held Saturday for Dr. Bruce M. Beckler at Finley Funeral Home in Livermore Falls. Officiating was the Rev. Richard Messana.

His daughter, Kendra Kaye Beckler, performed “Ashokan Farewell” by Jay Unger. Words of remembrance were spoken by close friends and colleagues David Myers, Peggy Beckler, Dr. Hillard Trubitt, retired professor from Indiana University and past advisor to Bruce, and Rodney Young, manager of the housing complex where Bruce used to live.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Grooms, Bob Welch, Dick Moreau, Dick Therrien, Roland Therrien and Raoul LaPlante. Firing squad: Richard Dupont, Roland Giguere, Raoul LaPlante, Joe Grooms, Bob Welch, Dick Moreau, Dick Smith and Wayne Parker. Honor guard: Eugene Pomerleau, Francis Therrien, Gerard Richard, Gerry Toothaker and Mike Horne. Interment Hillman Cemetery, Livermore.
