LEWISTON – Germaine M. Guay, 103, of 100 Campus Ave., Lewiston, died Saturday Aug. 7, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

She was born May 21, 1901, in Woonsocket, R.I., the daughter of Edmond and Marie Louise Jodoin Guilbert.

Moving to Maine in 1928, she married Antoine Guay, who died in 1973.

Prior to her retirement, she worked at the Pineland Center as a psychiatric case worker for many years.

She loved being with her friends at Maison Marcotte.

Mrs. Guay was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Le Cercle St. Sacrement, Ladies of St. Ann Sodality, Survivance Francaise, Lewiston Senior Citizens, and was very active in activities at Maison Marcotte.

She leaves a sister, Sr. Adrienne Guilbert R.J.M. of Rhode Island; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Albert, Edmond, Pierre and Edgar Guilbert.
