HARTFORD, Conn. – Anita L. (Pelletier) Hamann, 81, of Rocky Hill, Conn., widow of Francois R. Hamann, died Sunday, Aug. 8, at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, Conn.

She was born Dec. 19, 1922 in Lewiston, where she was raised, the daughter of the late Louis and Onelda (Saindon) Pelletier. She had lived in the Hartford area since 1965.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Hamann worked for Hartford Hospital and was a former communicant of St. Augustine Church.

Survivors include two sons, Maurice G. and wife, Nancy Hamann, of Nashua, N.H. and Richard G. and wife, Loretta Hamann, of Lewiston; a daughter Denise C., and husband, Edward Hlasyszyn, of Newington, Conn.; a sister, Carmen Mercier, of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Brian, David, Scott, Stephen, Gregory and Nicole Hamann and Robert and Michael Hlasyszyn; a great-grandson, Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Pelletier, and a sister, Antoinette Gilbert.
