KINGFIELD – Deputies are investigating a burglary at Kingfield Wood Products, where an estimated $1,000 damage was done and small amount of cash stolen.
Franklin County deputies are also investigating a second burglary, which is not believed to be associated, Lt. Niles Yeaton said.
A report came in at 5:30 a.m. Monday that the wood manufacturing plant had been entered, Yeaton said.
Deputy Richard Billian and Detective Thomas White are following up on some leads, Yeaton said.
The perpetrators entered the building and caused damage to the office area and vending machines, and a small amount of cash was reported stolen, Yeaton said.
The forced entry was made between late Sunday afternoon and early Monday, he said.
In another burglary, Deputy David Rackliffe said someone opened a window to an apartment on Main Street and did some damage.
The incident was reported Sunday.
Rackliffe said he is following up on some leads.
