PORTLAND – Nathaniel Kuritz has been hired as art director for Garrand & Company, a Portland-based marketing and communications agency.

He was employed as a graphic designer at Bates College in the Office of Communications and Media Relations, and as a freelance artist with clients such as Baltimore Department of Transportation, Oxford Aviation and EduTainment-Docufeature Films.

Born and raised in the Oxford Hills region, Kuritz attended the Maryland Institute College of Art and later transferred and graduated from the Maine College of Art.

His mother, Deborah Labuz, resides in Lewiston, and his father, Paul Kuritz, resides in Norway.
