PORTLAND (AP) – Hanley Ramirez, the Red Sox No. 1 prospect, belted a three-run homer and Mike O’Keefe added a two-run shot as the Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Trenton Thunder 6-4 Monday in the Eastern League.

Ramirez’s homer with two men aboard sent the Sea Dogs ahead 4-2 in the bottom half of the inning, and O’Keefe’s homer made it 6-2 after five.

The Thunder narrowed the deficit to two after Fuentes and Thompson homered in the top of the ninth.

Portland starting pitcher Kason Gabbard (1-4) struck out three, walked three and gave up two runs on four hits over five innings to collect the win. Trenton starter Justin Pope (3-2) took the loss.
