LIVERMORE FALLS – As part of a photographic seminar with photographers from as far away as Texas and Florida, musicians from the Countryfolk Music Theatre in East Dixfield were recently invited to model and perform at LeeAnn LaFleur Studios.

Photographer Linda Latham of Jay coordinated the effort with LaFleur and scheduled five local musicians. Those participating in the professional photo shoot were Raymond Paul of Jay playing banjo, Herman LeBlanc of Livermore Falls on guitar, Jim Littlefield and Margaret Arsenault of Andover strumming guitars and Larry Bisbee of East Dixfield played the washtub bass.

More than 17 professional photographers joined for the annual Jay Stock Seminar to document Maine people and their crafts and talents. LaFleur hosted the event at her East Livermore farm.

LaFleur has been been awarded the Maine Photographer of the Year award by the Maine Professional Photographers Association. She has studied with master photographer Jay Stock for the past eight years.

Bisbee, director of the Countryfolk Music Theatre and adviser for the statewide TV show, “Musicians of Maine,” said he was delighted when Latham offered the opportunity.

He said, “Our goals include developing venues for Maine musicians and songwriters to showcase their talent. This was a wonderful chance to be a part of a national photo shoot with a world class photographer such as Jay Stock.”
