FARMINGDALE – Bruce Hertz of Wayne has been named marketing director for Home Resources of Maine, a statewide provider of home care.

Chief Executive Susan Rovillard said the company is mounting an energetic campaign to become better known in the state. For the past 10 years, HRM has provided homemakers and personal care assistants to the state’s elderly and disabled individuals often through contracts with the state Department of Human Services, Veterans Administration and Area Agencies on Aging.

While HRM has a number of private pay consumers, the future success of the company depends on expansion of the consumer base, she said.

Hertz has been at HRM for three years as a field supervisor, intake coordinator and scheduler. He has been a journalist with the Bangor Daily News and the Kennebec Journal, the publicity and promotion director of Lakewood Theater in Madison and a financial services representative.

A graduate of Colby College, Hertz lives in North Wayne with his wife, Ruth.
