POWNAL – Snowfield Farm, will host a horse driving trials Sept. 19. The event is sanctioned by the American Driving Society and will offer two levels of competition open to single and multiple horses and ponies.

Entries for the event will close Sept. 10. Competitors from throughout New England are expected to attend. The event consists of a dressage test followed by a timed event through cones and obstacles and finishes with a marathon of between seven to eight kilometers. The trial tests the obedience and fitness of the horse.

Driving enthusiasts who are new to driving trials are encouraged to participate in this event and spectators are welcome.
