LISBON FALLS – Ami Vice, crowned Miss Maine 2004 on May 29, will compete on Sept. 18 at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, N.J.

A resident of Lisbon Falls, Vice graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Fine Arts with a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance. She will attend Oberlin College for her graduate studies.

Vice’s pageant platform is “Collegebound: Higher Educational Access and Assistance.” A send-off fund-raising event is planned from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, at the Taste of Maine Restaurant in Woolwich. Tickets are $25; cash at the door.
