LIVERMORE – A man considered by drug agents as armed and dangerous turned himself in to police Tuesday.
Peter Drown Jr., 37, of Livermore, had been on the run from police since Friday evening after state drug agents and police went to 137 Goding Road to make arrests in an ongoing interstate drug investigation.
Drown was charged with Class A aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs – cocaine, Maine drug enforcement agent Vernon Stevens said Wednesday.
Drown posted $10,000 cash bail Tuesday afternoon and was released from Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn, Stevens said.
Drown’s brother, Mark Drown, 35, of Livermore, had turned himself in on Monday and still remained in jail on $10,000 cash bail.
Mark Drown was charged with felony unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs – cocaine.
Five other people from the Livermore and Livermore Falls area were arrested Friday in connection with the case: Peter Drown Sr., who was charged with obstructing government administration after allegedly trying to cover up his son’s whereabouts when questioned by police; John Bassett, 44, on a charge of trafficking in cocaine; Kalvin Mitchell, 33, on multiple counts of trafficking in cocaine; Scott Young, 31, for hindering apprehension; and Michelle Becky, 31, on one count of trafficking in cocaine.
