ATLANTA (AP) – Teen star Hilary Duff’s show at Gwinnett Arena was halted for nearly an hour after an overhead speaker caught fire.

Duff was six songs into her set Sunday afternoon when the speaker short-circuited, sending her band offstage and prompting some front-row audience members to take cover.

Event planners said no one was hurt.

“This is by far the craziest show ever,” the 16-year-old singer-actress told the audience of 10,000 after staffers had replaced the speaker.

Duff’s films include “The Lizzie McGuire Movie” and “A Cinderella Story.”
