RUMFORD – Members of the class of 1951 got together on July 13 and celebrated the 99th birthday of their former teacher, Kathleen Poland. Miss Poland taught in the Rumford school system for several generations. She now resides in Livermore Falls.

Celebrating were Johanna Gurschick Morrison, Marie Richard Viger, Eva Marie Soucy Frechette, Barbara Lefebre Richard, Rita Polero Thorne, Lorraine Robichaud Legere, Charlene Thompson Cormier, Rita Theriault Morton, Bea Boudreau Clark, Eva Marie Hebert Morton, Julie Turbide Chaisson, Karen Poulin Clohosey and Pat LaCroix Dolloff.
