BRUNSWICK – Maine State Music Theatre performer John-Charles Kelly is bringing back his “J-C Kelly & Friends,” a popular fund-raiser for the theater.

Joining Kelly are friends Michelle Bruckner, Ed Romanoff, Anne Kanengeiser, Birdie Katz and Charles Abbott, with the renowned piano duo Kathryn Lewis and Martin Perry.

All of Kelly’s friends who’ve signed on for this year’s “Now and 4-Ever” themed show have strong Maine State Music Theatre ties.

Bruckner first appeared here as Velma in the hit production, “Chicago” in 2002.

Romanoff has played numerous roles with the company since debuting in 1998 in “Smile.” Kanengeiser is currently starring as Katharine in “Kiss Me Kate.” Katz also started with the company in “Smile.”

In addition, the company’s artistic director, Charles Abbott, will be performing as well.

Lewis and Perry have performed throughout the country, including Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The fund-raiser takes place at 7:30 Monday, Aug. 16, in Pickard Theatre on the Bowdoin College campus.

Ticket are $15, $20 and $25. They may be purchased at the box office at Pickard Theatre (open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), or by calling (207) 725-8769.
