LISBON – A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Lisbon Community School. The public is invited.

Following the dedication, tours of the school will be conducted until 3 p.m. by members of the sixth-grade class and volunteers. Light refreshments will be served throughout the day.

The new elementary school will offer many academic learning opportunities and enhanced benefits for the combined student population of the Lisbon Elementary and Marion T. Morse schools.

The Mill Street location offers a picturesque site and provides a private, spacious campus for physical education programs and other outdoor learning experiences in science and art. Program space, library, classrooms, computer lab and gym areas have been enhanced to accommodate the needs of all students.

Additional tours will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, for those unable to attend the Saturday festivities.
