SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Ashley L. Staples of Durham earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and a minor in information systems as Susquehanna University closed its 146th academic year with annual commencement exercises on May 16. Staples, daughter of Mark and Debbie Staples, graduated magna cum laude.
Staples activities included Kappa Delta Sorority and Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor society.
Brian M. Yocono of Leeds, earned a bachelor of arts degree in broadcasting with a minor in history. Yocono, son of Frank and Nancy Yocono, graduated cum laude.
Yocono’s activities included campus tour guide; Office of Communications hometown writer; assistant operations manager of WQSU-FM Radio; Lamba Pi Eta communications honor society; orientation team leader; Student Conduct Board; “Who’s Who among American Colleges”; and the Middle States Task Force Committee. He was also a Presidential Fellow, named to the dean’s list and was named Outstanding Student in Broadcasting and Mass Communications.
