FARMINGTON – The last summer meeting of the Mount Blue Garden Club will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Ann Kim’s perennial garden located at 113 Spruce Lane. The meeting and tour of Kim’s garden will begin at 5:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a box supper and a lawn chair and a plant for the plant swap at the end. Desserts and beverages will be provided. Spruce Lane is located off Maple Avenue, across from the Farmington Fairgrounds cattle gates.

Historical society

NEW VINEYARD – New Vineyard Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, in the Historical Room. Larry Parlin will speak about the histories of the Parlin and Baud families. The public is welcome to attend.
