BANGOR – The wedding of Erica Dawn Gallant and Andrew Eric Whitten was held at 4 p.m. on May 22 at the Hammond Street Congregational Church in Bangor. The Rev. Dr. Eric Kelley, uncle of the bridegroom, and the Rev. Dr. Mark Doty, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Whitten is the daughter of Timothy and Janice Gallant of Peru. Mr. Whitten is the son of John and Gale Whitten of Harrington.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Amy Gallant, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Beth MacFarlane and Nikki Chrissikos.

Matt Small, life-long friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Ben Qualey and Matt Magnusson. Eric Smith, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

Devon Nadeau and Michelle Closson did a reading for the couple and the bridegroom’s sisters, Lynn Bustard and Ellyn Smith, sang “The Rose.”

A reception followed at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor, after which the couple honeymooned on the island of Hawaii.

The bride is a graduate of Thomas College with a bachelor’s degree in business management. She is the director of sales at the Holiday Inn-Civic Center in Bangor.

The bridegroom is also a graduate of Thomas College with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems. He is a systems engineer with Cianbro Data Services in Pittsfield.
