ST. JOHN, Virgin Islands – The wedding of Heidi Ann Marquis of North Jay and Portland and George Paul Taitt of London, England, was held on June 26 at St. John in the Virgin Islands. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Phil Chalker.

The bride wore a white matte satin gown with camisole neckline with asymmetric beading. Her veil was accented with embroidered beads and supported by a rhinestone tiara. She carried a bouquet of pink cymbidium and white and fuschia dennrobium orchids with mixed greens and ribbons.

The bride is the daughter of Debra Marquis of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Robert Marquis and wife, Debra, of Old Saybrook, Conn. She is also the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Oakes of Wilton and the late Robert and Marion Marquis of Farmington.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Taitt of London, England.

Brandon Gould, brother of the bride, was best man and Andrea Tuttle, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor.

A reception was held at Gibney Beach after the ceremony. Family and friends attended from Maine, Connecticut and London, England.
