RUMFORD – Professional dancer and choreographer Jacqui Young of DanzJam of New York City will conduct a jazz workshop for dancers ages 9 to adult Sept. 11 at Mountain Valley High School.

A session for ages 9 to 13 will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. The session for ages 14 and older will be from 1 to 3 p.m. It is highly recommended that all dancers who wish to participate have a minimum of three years dance experience.

Young is a resident faculty member at Northern Essex Community College. Her choreography has been featured on stage and television from Boston to Branson to Las Vegas.

Registration will begin Thursday, Aug. 19, and close Saturday, Sept. 4. The fee for each session will be $25 per person, and an official workshop T-shirt will be available as well. Enrollment is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
