LIVERMORE FALLS – A man whom police had told to stay away from a Fayette Road property was arrested Saturday when he was found there.

Jody Diaz, 35, formerly of Jay but whose current residence is unknown, was taken to Androscoggin County Jail after a woman reported that he was at her home at 3:15 p.m. Livermore Falls police had warned the man to stay away from the residence on Aug. 1.

Police received a call from a nearby residence when the victim, who reportedly felt threatened, left her home and fled there, according to Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr.

Diaz had allegedly pulled the phone from the wall and then locked himself in the woman’s mobile home. Police officers broke into the trailer and found Diaz hiding in a closet there.

He was charged with criminal trespass and obstructing the report of a crime. There was no protection-from-harassment order filed at the time, said Steward.
