AUBURN – Pizza Party and Book Swap for the teen summer reading program at Auburn Public Library from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, sponsored by Papa Gino’s in the Auburn Mall. Those attending should bring books for swapping and enjoy some pizza. The drawing for two skateboards will be held that evening and also teens who attend can put their names in to win a free subscription to Slap or Thrasher magazine.

Bridge play

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Aug. 16 were: N/S: first, Martine Begert and Les Buzzell; second, Dick Allen and Don Johnson; third, Lucille Bilodeau and Roger Briggs; first in B, Betty and Doug Sise; second in B, Claire Tewhey and Charles Bartlett.

E/W: first, Sharon and Paul Pierce; second, Della Starbird and Randy Silver; third, Alberta Turner and Connie Simpson; first in B, Nancy Ferris and Eileen Minnehan; second in B Hilda Monk and Judy Agnew.

Games are played every Monday at 9 a.m., a mini lesson is given, and a partner is guaranteed.

A special STaC (Sectional Tournament at Clubs) silver point game will be played on Monday, Aug. 23. Players will be competing with all players in New England.
