CARTHAGE – A 37-year-old Carthage man was returned to jail Tuesday night, accused of violating bail conditions.

Bert Knox was found on the property of Calvin Bradbury, owner of Bradbury’s Market in Carthage. Knox had been arrested earlier this summer on charges of resisting arrest, according to Franklin County Deputy Michelle St. Clair.

One of the conditions of his release was to have no contact with the Bradburys, who reside on Judkins Road in Carthage where Knox was found at approximately 12:30 a.m.

Knox was arrested on charges of criminal trespass and violation of conditions of release. He was taken to Franklin County Jail where he is being held without bail. He was also on probation for other charges prompting his probation officer to put a hold on him.
