LEWISTON – Aldene E. “Deenie” (Coakley) Humphrey, 73, a resident of Framingham, Mass., died Wednesday, Aug. 18, in the intensive care unit at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston.

Born in Malden, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Edith Regali Coakley.

She was the wife of almost 51 years to Harvey J. Humphrey of Framingham, Mass.

Mrs. Humphrey attended Everett schools, and was a graduate of Simmons College. She lived in Framingham for 48 years, and was a longtime member of the Middlesex Simmons Club.

After being a homemaker for 37 years, she became a respite care administrator for Kennedy-Donovan Center, Inc., where she worked for more than 10 years.

Mrs. Humphrey’s children have graduated from Notre Dame, two degrees including a master’s; MIT, two children; University of Virginia, master’s degree; University of Massachusetts Medical School, M.D.; Georgetown, degree in international banking; University of Houston Law School, J.D.; Hawthorne College, a degree in aviation management; and the University of Texas, master’s degree. William Benjamin attended Stonehill College before being interrupted by illness.

Besides her husband, Harvey, Mrs. Humphrey is survived by five sons, Harvey Humphrey Jr. of South Bend, Ind., Robert Philip Humphrey of Saline, Mich., Charles Christopher Humphrey, a neuroradiologist on the staff at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, Scott Alexander Humphrey, an attorney in Austin, Texas, and Alden Edward Humphrey of Germantown, Md.; three daughters-in-law, Denise (Noffsinger) of Saline, Mich., Kim (Fulmer) of Auburn, and Kimberley (Sweenie) of Gaithersburg, Md.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Nicole Marie, Danielle Renee, Alicia Rose and her husband Aaron, Claire Rachelle, Julia Christine, all of South Bend, Ind., Robert Philip Jr., Emma LaRae, Josiah Benjamin and Luke Paul, all of Saline, Mich., Kristin Elizabeth and Daniel Scott, of Auburn, and Ryan Alden and Collin Joseph, both of Gaithersburg, Md.; and two great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Natalie, both of South Bend, Ind.

She was also the mother of the late William Benjamin Humphrey, who died in 1998.
