FALMOUTH – Floris F. Snow, 100, formerly of Lewiston died Aug. 14, of natural causes at Falmouth by the Sea Nursing Home, Falmouth.

She was born in West Peru, July 18, 1904, the daughter of Benjamin and Mabel Dwinal Forbes. She was educated in West Peru, Rumford, and Lewiston schools. In 1923, she married Asa Brown Snow who died In 1963. During the 1930’s they lived in Groveton, N. H., returning to Auburn In 1940. She was employed at the Bates Mills for 20 years, retiring in 1966.

She loved her family very much. She also loved nature, small animals and the simple task of puttering. Her lifelong love of knitting amazed many who knew her. She knit hats, mittens, slippers, Barbie Doll clothing, and a huge array of afghans. The majority of her creations were made without a pattern. She had an uncanny ability for “one-liners” to describe a feeling or situation in just a few words. Her family will deeply miss her.
