SABATTUS – Abnaki District, Pine Tree Council, Boy Scouts of America, hosted the annual day camp at Camp Gustin. More than 100 Cub Scouts participated in five days of crafts, swimming, nature study, BB gun shooting, archery and sports.
This year’s “Wild West Friendship” theme gave Scouts and leaders the chance to dress in period costumes, sing old west songs and play games.
The camp was led by Camp Director Mary Jane Vachon of Sabattus and Program Director Heather Clark of Auburn.
For more information on how to get involved with Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting and Venturing, people can contact Abnaki District Executive Matt Mower at 797-5252, ext. 33, or [email protected].
The Abnaki District services the Scouting program in most of Androscoggin and Oxford counties.
