Several burglaries and thefts are being investigated around the region.

In Farmington, police are looking into a report of three purses stolen during a party on Perham Street over the weekend, Farmington Lt. Jack Peck said.

Some girls had a party and invited people over, he said, and some uninvited guests came as well. The purses were reported stolen Saturday morning.

At another party in Farmington over the weekend, there were vehicles parked on Porter Hill Road and a teenager was asked to move vehicles for another person and ended up taking off in one of them, Peck said.

The vehicle was found later on Court Street with a damaged transmission. It was reported Saturday morning. Charges are pending, Peck said.

In another incident in Farmington, a Porter Hill Road resident reported Sunday that their residence had been entered between 3:30 and 10:15 p.m. Though nothing appeared to be taken, Peck said, the doors were open, which were locked by the resident, and the dog was out.

In Livermore Falls, a resident on Green Street reported being awakened about 2 a.m. Friday by a noise. She went downstairs to the living room area, Livermore Falls Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said, and looked around but didn’t see anything.

She went out on her porch and noticed that a screen had been cut on a window and, after returning inside, she found a ring box on the counter had been opened and two class rings, a wedding band and a diamond were missing. A checkbook and wallet were left untouched, Steward said.

Also in Livermore Falls, a silver and black 26-inch bicycle was reported stolen from Pleasant Street.

Over in Jay, police are investigating a theft of bottles from a locked porch Sunday on Tweedie Street. A porch screen had been forced open and about $5 in returnable bottles were taken, Jay Chief Larry White said.

Jay police also handled a loud music and loud people complaint and ended up arresting two people at 80 Main St.

White said the officers waited at the door of the residence for 45 minutes before someone opened it.

Dixie Clark, 34, of Jay and Craig Gordon, 40, of Jay were both arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, White said.
