Celtics sign second round pick Reed

BOSTON (AP) – The Boston Celtics have signed their second round draft pick, forward Justin Reed, the team announced Friday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Celtics selected the 6-foot-8, 240-pound Reed with the 40th overall pick in the June draft.

Reed played at Mississippi, where he averaged 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last season and was named to the All-SEC first team.
